Facilities
The park has three pavilions, an amphitheater and two practice ball fields available for reservations.
Reservations are accepted in person and online beginning the second Monday in March each year.
Capacity
The Liberty Pavilion which is on the back of the Parks Building will accommodate approximately 40+ guests with a total of five picnic tables.
The Founders Pavilion, which is closer to the city lake will accommodate approximately 32+ guests with a total of four picnic tables.
The Freedom Pavilion has approximately 1200 square ft. with eight metal picnic tables.
The Independence Amphitheater is approximately 1000 square ft.
The reservation guarantees the site for the day chosen. However, you will share the rest of the park with the public which includes the playground, walking trail, parking lots, the lake (catch and release only) and the handicap accessible restrooms on the Red Barn.
The inside of the City Parks Building is not available for reservations.
2022 City-wide Parks & Greenway Master Plan
In 2021 the City of Weldon Spring hired Planning Design Studios to create a City-wide Parks Master Plan that would guide the future of parks and multi-use paths if and when development occurs. The Master Plan was made with input from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and the Community.
